The How Many Pairs of Jeans Quiz

In this multiple choice quiz the aim is to guess the emissions generated by:
  • common activities undertaken by you and your household
  • Some of the actions that can be taken to reduce your impact.·
Conventionally, carbon emissions are reported based on gCO2e, KgCO2e or TCO2e with the ‘e’ identifying that it includes all greenhouse gases using carbon equivalents. 
Instead of using three measures (grammes, Kilogrammes and Tonnes) this game uses jeans.  
A typical pair of jeans emits 19Kg CO2e to manufacture (see breakdown opposite). Additional emissions are generated by washing the jeans and disposing of them. These are not included here as they are too variable.
