About the Book:

In How to Reduce Your Carbon Emissions and Save Money on Your Bills, Tony Duckenfield sets out a clear, evidence-based approach to taking control of your environmental impact.

The book identifies more than 100 actions to help you reduce your carbon footprint and save money, from quick, no-cost ideas to longer-term investments that pay off through lower bills and healthier living.

Each action is categorised according to the level of carbon reduction it can deliver, with practical examples, costs, and expected savings.  To help visualize the emissions saved by different actions a scale has been created based on the emissions generated by the manufacture of a typical pair of jeans. This helps to make sense of what many people find to be an indecipherable jumble of letters: KgCO2e / tCO2e making it clearer what the difference is between the little and big actions that can be taken.

The book also includes guidance on greener transport choices, energy-efficient homes, renewable energy, and lifestyle changes that make a measurable difference.

“This isn’t about doing everything - it’s about doing what matters most, and making meaningful progress one step at a time.”
Tony Duckenfield
